This one belongs to Fred Sahms who wrote an excellent piece for Benzina 11 headed “The Guzzi that gave Yamaha the finger”: basically Yamaha’s TR1 team successfully protested a winning Ducati 900SS from a start, so the team substituted a road legal Le Mans and beat Yamaha anyway.
