Deja Blue

So what became of Old Blue / the California Hot Rod? It disappeared into the vaults of a collector who didn’t want the rest of us to see it. But this didn’t stop George Barber - as in the Barber Museum - wanting to display it. So ace Ducati restorer and all round good guy Rich Lambrects (left) of Desmopro, working with Cook Neilson (on bike)and Phil Schilling built a perfect replica called Deja Blue. Cook did put leathers on before trying it out. It’s a thing of beauty usually displayed alongside the leathers and helmet Cook wore to race the original.
