Rossi and Morbidelli Mark 1

Graziano Rossi began world championship racing in 1977 with a Suzuki RG500. His best year was 1979, with three wins and five podiums in the 250 class with Morbidelli. He finishing the season third, but is of course most famous for being Valentino Rossi’s dad. Giancarlo Morbidelli was always looking for an edge over the Japanese. He was fascinated by aerodynamics, his GP bikes famous for their huge tail pieces to reduce drag. And if the circuit is flowing with no serious braking points, why not remove one front disc to save weight? And this is where that #46 comes from
